Email Policy

In today's hyper-connected world we are inundated with a daily flood of messages that come through various channels, including email, text messages, social media, etc. This results in continuous inbox overflow for those of us who receive a lot of it.

Personal Email Policy

This personal email policy is designed to minimize the response time and, therefore, improve communication efficiency. Messages will be sent from a variety of different devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers and may be dictated using voice recognition systems. Therefore, one or more of the following may apply:

I use aggressive spam filters and other automated tools to sort and prioritize my incoming messages and these automated systems are known to occasionally classify messages incorrectly. I may also have simply overlooked your message in the flood of daily email I receive. Therefore, if you don't hear back from me within a few days, do not assume that my silence implies consent, if you have asked a question.

The email and any attachments you may have received are intended only for the person/entity to which they were addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material. If you received the email in error, please notify the sender and delete the message.

Commercial Email and Spam Policy

I explicitly do not permit my email address or other personally identifiable information to be added to any database, distribution list, mass-email system, marketing or CRM system, or any other computer system that automatically generates emails to me. I hereby request to permanently opt-out of any email communication sent by you under the CAN SPAM Act. Each email sent by you in violation of CAN-SPAM is subject to penalities of up to $16,000, and more than one person may be held responsible for violations.

This personal email policy was inspired by five.sentenc.es and other similar approaches and recommendations to increase email workflow productivity.
